5 Easy Toddler Meals My Child Actually Eats (No Drama)
Some of these aren’t really “meals”. They’re more like random items of food on a plate that definitely do not go together.
But they are easy to prepare, easy to cook, and genuinely loved by my little one.
And honestly? As long as they eat and it’s relatively healthy (lol), that’s a win. This isn’t Instagram, nor Pinterest. This is real life.
1. Cheese & Tomato Pizza, Peas and Waffles/Chips
Absolute winner.
When I said “relatively healthy”, this is where the peas come in doing all the heavy lifting. Once a week isn’t so bad, right?
My little one will eat everything on this plate, which automatically puts it in the hall of fame.
Is it gourmet? No.
Does it get eaten without negotiations (demands)? Yes.
That’s success.
2. Spaghetti & Passata with Garlic Bread
She loves this meal.
I do not love the clean-up.
WARNING: You will be cleaning your child, your kitchen and possibly your ceilings after this one.
We use suction plates to avoid anything getting launched mid-meal. They genuinely do the job and save at least one meltdown per week. These are the ones we use:

If you’re in the toddler spaghetti era, you already know.
3. CHEESE!
Not a meal.
Not pretending to be a meal.
Just cheese.
My daughter is a full-blown cheese fiend. Any kind, any form, any time.
If you’ve got a child like this, try sneaking cheese into other meals:
In sandwiches
In wraps
Melted into mash
Grated into pasta
It genuinely helped us when introducing new foods. Cheese is the bridge. Cheese is the diplomat. Cheese gets things done.
4. Sausage, Beans & Mash
An absolute British staple.
She’s been using her new knife, fork and spoon which has been great for helping her motor skills develop. We use these ones here:

You can get similar pretty much anywhere now, but having proper toddler cutlery has definitely made her more interested in eating independently.
Be warned though — this is another messy one.
Use your suction plates.
STAY BACK.
Keep cleaning spray nearby.
It’s all fun though (apparently).
5. “MONCH!”
I know what you’re thinking. What on earth is MONCH?
That’s what my daughter shouts when she wants this very specific lunch plate.
It consists of:
Cheese or ham sandwich
Pack of chicken fridge raiders
3 slices of cucumber
Grapes
Boiled egg (sometimes)
Cheesy puffs
Teddy bear cake to finish
I have absolutely no idea why she loves these all together.
But it’s relatively balanced, she’s getting protein, she’s eating happily… and most importantly, no beans are flying.
That’s a peaceful lunch in this house.
Final Thought
Not every toddler meal has to be perfectly balanced or aesthetically pleasing.
Some days they eat everything.
Some days they survive on beige and the random cucumber on the side.
If your little one is going through “flavour fatigue” or refusing everything, sometimes mixing it up or going back to a safe favourite is exactly what works.
As long as they’re eating and growing, you’re doing just fine.
Enjoy — and good luck with the clean-up.
