“And it’s live”! - Todays plan

Today feels like a big moment. The site is officially live! That means these thoughts aren’t just bouncing around in my head like hyperactive squirrels—they’re out in the wild for the world to ignore, or hopefully enjoy.

This has been a passion project, squeezed into the tiny cracks of everyday life, like toothpaste from the end of the tube. I’m curious to see if anyone else out there actually nods along instead of scrolling past.

On the home front, I achieved a major milestone this morning: I woke up at 8:30! Yes, a true lie-in. My wife is off on Tuesdays, so apparently I get the luxury of “sleeping in.” Terrible, I know. But since I’m now awake, I can “plan” the day… by which I mean, shuffle things around while muttering at the cat and the coffee machine.

Essentially, today’s agenda: make sure everyone is fed, no matter the grunts, huffs, and occasional eye-rolls at my culinary choices. Keep an eagle eye on the carpet people so they don’t break any of my new tiles! like some kid asking their old neighbour for their ball back. (we’ve all had this growing up)

“Oh, I’m having carpet fitted today” — if that made any sense. Probably not. Moving on.

Finally, a moment of honesty: I joke a lot about how tricky it all can be, but I also need to pause and reflect. I’m lucky. My problems are small compared to the real adults out there who somehow keep it all together.
